We Tested Panasonic's Latest 3D Full HD Plasma

Panasonic invited us to watch some video footage of their latest 3D Full HD Plasma Theater Home Theater System.

Basically the system enables the viewing of true-to-life 3D FHD images by using a Panasonic 103-inch Plasma HDTV and a Panasonic Blu-ray Disc (BD) player, capable of distributing full high definition (1920 x 1080 pixels) images to each eye. To enjoy this nice Full HD PDP requires a special set of glasses.

To be honest, the demonstration was quite surprising and really interesting. Before attending the presentation, we expected to see classic 3D images where objects and characters emerge from the screen (like a ball coming out of the screen and coming straight on you).

Actually the result of this Full HD Plasma was impressive thanks to the depth offered by the image.

As an example, Panasonic showed us video footage of a football match. It really felt like being on the field with the players and I almost felt I was playing football. Not only did the image provide real depth and totally immersed you in the video, but the quality was also amazing thanks to the Blu-ray ..

Regardless, it worked well and we hope to see this nice beast on the market soon.
